Top Job Recruitment are looking for a Technical Manager for a food manufacturing company based in East Anglia.

If you have experience as a Technical Manager in a food production environment and have ensured product safety/quality/legality through the continuous development of the HACCP and quality systems, then this could be the role for you.

Technical Manager Job Role:

• To be the customer-facing technical contact for all retailers, B2B and Wholesale on a day-to-day basis.
• Main technical contact for all customers during development, production, and improvement of products, processes, and policies
• Develop a strong interpersonal relationship with key customers
• To ensure technical, specification, or legislative information is provided
• Management of customer visits and audits
• To facilitate change in pursuance of improved business practice,
• To ensure that all relevant information regarding changes, amendments to the Quality Manuals, customer product specifications, working practices and or legislation requirements are communicated to all relevant staff.
• To carry out Internal audits to check procedures and policies.

Technical Manager Experience Needed:

• 3 years’ experience in production and technical environment.
• Experience in QA, HACCP, Food Safety, and Allergen Management.
• Experience in customer specification systems.
• Technical experience in animal welfare, and chilled meat and poultry processing.
• Ability to execute and implement change as necessary to ensure the continued profitability of the department.
• Knowledge of retailer codes of practice and standards.
• Experience in a customer-facing technical role,
• Higher qualification/degree in food science/microbiology/science (preferred)
• HACCP level 3 (Level4 preferred)
• Internal auditing training
• Third-party auditor training
