Top Job Recruitment are looking for a Temporary Data Protection Administrator for a company based in Colchester, Essex with an immediate start.

Our client is the largest independent estate agency in the UK, and this role is based in the head office in Colchester Town, however hybrid working and part time working can be considered for the right candidate. The reason for the role is there has been an overflow of work and they need some extra assistance.

Hours: Monday-Friday 9am – 5:30pm.


As a Temporary Data Protection Administrator you will be in a small team where you will work closely with the Data Protection Officer to help with the GDPR Rights of an Individual as defined within GDPR. Day-to-day data protection admin duties to support data protection compliance within the family of companies. This is an ideal role for someone highly organised and with a “can-do” attitude, if you want to pursue your career towards Data Protection.  


Temporary Data Protection Administrator Job Role

  • To ensure that Subject Access Requests are dealt with efficiently. Managing the log and coordination to deliver these requests.
  • Perform the collection and redacting of relevant information required by a subject access request. Package this information together and sharing with the customer.


Temporary Data Protection Administrator Skills Required

  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral, with a wide range of colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to concentrate on detail. To be accurate in the processes to be followed. To be discrete and private regarding the work undertaken.
  • Skilled user of IT software and tools including Microsoft Office and Adobe.
  • Ability to understand and collect data from a diverse variety of internal IT systems.
  • Highly organised.
  • A conscientious approach to all work.
  • Confidence and enjoyment of working in a busy, dynamic environment.
  • Previous data protection and administrative experience ideal.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.

This placement is foreseen to continue for a couple of months and then reviewed to see if the candidate will still be required, however this would be subject to change. For the right candidate there may be a chance the placement could turn permanent.
