We are currently seeking a Temporary Recruitment Co-ordinator on a part time basis to work for a community service company in Colchester.

You will be required to work 3 days a week 9am-5pm (includes a Monday, other days negotiable) and must be immediately available with a full clean driving license.

Duties:

  • To assist with the recruitment, co-ordination, training and induction of staff
  • To undertake and maintain appropriate staffing checks to ensure they have the correct clearance, skills and knowledge to undertake their work.
  • Undertake payroll to ensure staff are paid correctly for the shifts they have worked
  • To ensure databases and systems contain correct information and are maintained appropriately.
  • Escalate any concerns to a senior manager
  • To project the professional image of the business through demonstrating excellent customer care in all activities.
  • To provide an administrative/telephone service to candidates, employees, workers and line managers predominately in relation to recruitment and selection, but additionally general HR topics, photocopying, scanning, ordering and stock maintenance, issue of uniforms and any other duties required.
  • To co-ordinate unfilled shift requests and fill with the appropriate personnel. This may include contacting staff to encourage them to fill shifts at short notice.
  • Undertake pre-employment checks in the absence of the Recruitment Lead.
  • Under the direction of the Recruitment Lead, process requests for IT systems accounts.
  • To provide information on basic terms and conditions of service e.g. annual leave, pay, policy, to candidates, employees and line managers.
  • To be responsible for the accurate inputting of time claim forms and escalating queries and errors to the Payroll Lead
  • To work on any other projects as requested, including supporting recruitment events.
  • To participate in the achievement of KPI’s and objectives for the recruitment team.

Experience Required:

  • Experience in an administrative role including creating detail-sensitive documents, filing, emailing, letter creation etc
  • Proven track record of engagement with people in a customer focused environment
  • Demonstrable experience of data entry and use of IT skills in a practical setting
  • Knowledge of equality legislation re recruitment and selection.

Key Skills Required:

  • Well organised and ability to prioritise workload
  • Appropriate escalation of queries and concerns
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Advanced Key Boarding, IT skills and data inputting on systems
  • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to manage own time and work unsupervised
  • Able to work under pressure and in target driven environment
  • Demonstrable ability to work in an area where maintaining and respecting confidentiality is vital.
