Our client is looking for hardworking, ambitious and driven individuals to work in their busy and fast paced warehouse environment. 

The Warehouse Operative is responsible for testing and processing IT assets, typically 3–5-year-old used IT equipment, targeting laptop and desktop PCs, mobile phones, tablets, and Apple products.  Full training will be provided but a technical background or a keen interest in this area would be advantageous. 

Key responsibilities

  • Input specifications, cosmetic conditions and other key information into the GRID (Global Resale Inventory Database)
  • Meet production KPIs surrounding both quality and quantity
  • Responsible for data erasure on multiple product types and ensuring control measures have been applied
  • Proactive attitude to solving faults/problems
  • Proactive attitude to help create more efficient ways to current solutions in place within the workplace
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
  • Flexibility to work in other areas of the business to cope with day to day demands in meeting targets and helping to achieve the group goal.

This is an active role and will involve heavy, manual lifting.

About you:

  • General Windows operating system and office products knowledge, including data entry necessary to record the work performed
  • Must be able to correctly identify manufacturer information, brand and model numbers, manufacturer serial numbers.  Verify Global ID numbers match the current job record being entered. Also using provided software data wiping and produce test records of full items specification to enter in the GRID
  • Attention to detail necessary to consistently maintain quality standards
  • Ability to recognise a wide variety of data-bearing devices
  • Ability to read and understand work-orders
  • Know and use data erasure tools necessary for wiping data from a variety of devices
  • Ability to read, understand and uphold policies and procedures
  • Willingness to flex into other job roles from time-to-time as production demands dictate

Ability to lift 15 kgs unassisted

Due to company location, own transportation would be ideal

This is a temp to perm position

40 hours per week

Starting salary £9.11phr

Annual salary once permanent £19,200
