Top Job Recruitment are looking for a Training Officer for a manufacturing company based in Halstead

If you have experience in a food factory & production and have food safety knowledge, then this could be the role for you

Job Description:

  • Assist in the implementation of decisions for training made by HR, Technical and Production Management.
  • Main implementer and completer of Training, including additional projects and tasks issued by HR and Training Manager, or Production Manager.
  • Assisting with the day to day efficient operation of the Training.
  • Updating and maintaining the training-related data.
  • Conversing with all departmental Management and their representatives for training.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of training systems.
  • Helping HR and Production requests from other departments such as research, providing information and documentation.  Including assessing, inputting and compiling data.
  • Training recordkeeping and creating new record-keeping methods if required.
  • Training officers are responsible for identifying staff training and development needs, and for planning, organising and overseeing appropriate training.
  • Identify training and development needs within the organization through job analysis, human resources and production departments on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis.  This may be through initial training, retraining or organized externally supplied training.
  • Monitor training needed, or retraining needed.
  • Ensure that those working in specific areas are currently in a training program or have already been trained in the position.
  • Train all employees whether they be contractors, agency workers or permanent staff. This includes being on the shop floor and working with production staff on individual basis teaching procedures and machinery used to the staff.

Person Specification:

  • At least 4 years of training experience
  • A professional manner. Makes sensible, intelligent decisions in difficult and deadline-driven situations.
  • A confident and positive attitude.
  • Be patient tactful, diplomatic and approachable.
  • Be able to stay calm in a difficult situation. 
  • Self-motivated and self-aware- recognises own strengths and weaknesses and is committed to personal development.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn
  • Enjoy working with people but can work alone and as a team.
  • The ability to work accurately with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal facing skills, Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
