Top Job Recruitment is currently recruiting an experienced Wood Machinist for my client based in Colchester. This will be an immediate start for the right applicant.

This is an ongoing temporary position that can lead to a permanent placement for the right person.

Main Purpose of the Job:

To set up, maintain, and operate machines in order to produce parts for production

Key Tasks Defined

• To operate the CNC Router, changing jigs as required and maintain on a daily and weekly basis

• To set and operate the T-Nut machine and maintain on a daily and weekly basis
• To programme, set, and operate the Clipper Machine and maintain on a daily and weekly basis
• To set and operate the Dim Saws, changing saws as required and maintain on a daily and weekly basis
• To set and operate Drills and maintain on a daily and weekly basis
• To operate Block Drillers and maintain on a daily and weekly basis
• To check parts produced for accuracy and quantity
• To keep work area clean and tidy
• To ensure that Health and Safety is of the utmost importance to all staff and that the Company’s Health and Safety policy is strictly adhered to

Previous experience is essential

Starting salary of £8.88phr rising to £10.42phr if targets are met.

The working hours are 7.00am – 4.30pm Monday -Thursday & Friday 7.00am – 1.00pm
